Kent Lutz is a walker and participates in a number of major marathon events around the country, including the Flying Pig Marathon event in Cincinnati. Lutz completed his first marathon in 2005, and now primarily walks half marathon events. Lutz hopes to secure pledges for each of the marathon events he participates in, and all proceeds will be deposited into a Donor Advised Fund at the Greater Cincinnati Foundation. It is anticipated that ultimately a separate 501c3 Foundation will be formed with an active Board of Directors that will oversee the Foundation's scholarship giving.

It is anticipated that the Institute For Family Business (IFB) will also organize online auctions to help supplement the fund raising efforts, and also look to form a committed group of individuals that will come together on a regular basis to raise funds for, not only  (IFB), but also other worthy causes.
